Industrial style loft that meets the Scandinavian one

Large windows, high ceilings, white spaces … This loft in Barcelona is a dream for all those who are looking for unique environments, multifunctional and visual depth, something difficult to find in a conventional house, with different rooms divided by walls and doors.

Originally, the house was an old distillery, formed by several buildings declared of architectural interest.

In this renovation, the highlights of the project are the exposed brick walls, the natural light coming in from the large windows, the oak parquet to give comfort and warmth.

Then, with the iron staircase and exposed systems, the aesthetics of the industrial style was completed.

Even the furniture is decisive for obtaining unique environments in a loft-like this. Here the industrial style meets the Scandinavian style with some warmer touches: here we find large white walls, gray in various shades, rugs, poufs, cushions, and fabrics that warm up the rooms making them really welcoming.

Throughout the first floor, where the living area is located, the furniture is the protagonist, thanks to the large size, proportional to the space and the environment: the L-shaped sofa, which seems almost infinite, takes all the attention in the living room, while in the dining room, two identical wooden tables have been placed side by side, to reach a total of more than 4 m in length.

Do not miss the do-it-yourself touch, because the structure of the large sofa is made with recovered industrial pallets. The wooden pallets are very popular in furnishing lately. To create the sofa, all you need is several pallets to be placed side by side to each other, to then join them with metal hinges and place large mattresses and colored cushions on them.
