We are in Sitges in Catalonia, to visit virtually this 120 square meter house with a wonderful garden where you can spend beautiful moments of relaxation by the sea. The walls of the house, all painted white help to have brightness and give the right summer atmosphere. We find the color in a dosed way only in some fabrics and furniture.
The landlady loves the Provencal style and it is this style that inspired her to furnish her home, but she did it mixing it with Mediterranean influences. His luck is that he has a shop in Barcelona full of old and antique furniture from which he can draw freely, it would be the dream of every lover of shabby furniture!
This style can be defined as rustic chic and is easily reproducible even in our seaside homes: predominantly white color, pickled wood flooring, reclaimed light wood furniture, wicker chairs, rattan rugs, light fabrics and soft colors, like the powder blue used for the two bedrooms.
If you want to copy the style, the furniture to choose is comfortable white sofas with classic shapes, sideboards or consoles in the living area with simple lines, reclaimed wood headboards in the night area. In most cases, salvaged furniture is simply restored to its natural color or treated to make the wood glossy, which makes it look like it is lived and aged.
The furnishing accessories used in the house are perfectly in tune with the Provencal style: cushions with floral patterns, wrought iron lamps, old mirrors, but also bags and wicker baskets, rope carpets, lanterns, and old shutters or used French windows for decorative purpose.
